Young Design Talent Finalist Fashion Showcase 2011
The hunt for the youngest and most talented Vietnamese fashion designers started last year where over 3000 budding fashion designers from all over the country, submitted there designs based on the concept of the global traveller. Out of the 3000 designers the judging panel gathered together in March 2011 to select finalists who were required to put their ideas into production.
Winners from the Nationwide design competition supported by London College for Fashion Studies, Teenager Magazine and Vinatex will be announced later today where the first prize candidate will win a full scholarship to the prestigious London College for Fashion Studies, finalists for the competition which can be seen here today include: -
Nguyen Duc Tri (16) HCMC
Inspired by the bravery, pride and freedom of single and independent female travelers, this collection combines streetwear fashion mixed with a twist of punk. This collection is dedicated and inspired by the luxury and nobility of women everywhere,
Nguyen Cong Tin (19) HCMC
Inspired by the roof on the Sydney Opera house and the image of a small sailing boat, sailing through thousands of tiny waves, against all the storms and winds in order to find new and exciting experiences along the journey. The crystal embellishments shown in this collection were inspired by sunbeams, which surrounded the sails at sunrise and represents pureness.
Nguyen Thi Minh Thuong (20) HCMC
Inspired by the ethnic minorities that travel across Vietnam, this collection brings a feminine charm to dynamic women, with an eye for colour and an edge.
Dang Ngoc Man (20) HCMC
Inspired by Vietnamese springtime, when the weather is warm; it’s the beginning of year and trips to traditional pagodas and beaches that makes us strong for the year’s challenges ahead.
Lê Thi Quynh Nhu (17) Dak Lak
Inspired by military clothing and utilitywear, possessing the qualities of being multifunctional, practical and of course ideal for the modern urban traveller
Duong Quoc Hung (16) Vung Tau
Inspired by stripes, layers and comfort, this collection is ideal for the girl with personality who wants to travel in style and is always willing to try new things.
Nguyen Hien Phuong (18) Bac Ninh
Inspired by the shapes and textiles of traditional costumes across Asia.

The Open Day is the perfect opportunity for you to find out as much as you can about the courses and facilities available at LCFS (Hanoi).

- Meet and talk to our members of staff and students and get an insight into what life as a LCFS student is really like
- Attend our demo lessons to find out further information about our courses and our students’ development from initial stage to graduation
